license stolen

Alright well i got robbed today apparently. They took my debit card and my license. Im working on canceling out my debit card right now. But what do i do about my license. Im in hawaii and i highly doubt virginia will send me a new one. Im really fucking pissed off that someone would be so low to actually steal shit off someone they dont even know. They are lucky i dont know who stole it or they be fucking dead right about now.

report it to the local authorities, check video surveilance of everywhere you were at.

was at the beach so theres no video. And the cops here suck and the mps cant do anything cause it didnt happen on post.

About the only thing you can do is to apply for a driver's license in Hawaii. Tell them yours was stolen. Did they get you military ID card?

No thats what surprised me my military id was in my wallet but they didnt take it just my license and debit card. So as of right now im stuck without money til tuesday

Just make certain you have alerted the authorities and keep a check on your credit because it sounds to me like a case of someone trying to steal your identity.

Put a Fraud Alert on your credit reports ASAP. Do not hesitate. Do not delay.

I had to do this last year when I had some paperwork stolen from my car.
Not long after putting the fraud alert on I had to finance a camera, and with the alert on my credit report they had to go through a lot of extra steps to make sure it really was me trying to get this financing (heck - I thought I was going to fail my own credit check LOL).

How do I request a "fraud alert" be placed on my file?

You have the right to ask that nationwide consumer credit reporting companies place "fraud alerts" in your file to let potential creditors and others know that you may be a victim of identity theft. A fraud alert can make it more difficult for someone to get credit in your name because it tells creditors to follow certain procedures to protect you. It also may delay your ability to obtain credit. You may place a fraud alert in your file by calling just one of the three nationwide consumer credit reporting companies. As soon as that agency processes your fraud alert, it will notify the other two, which then also must place fraud alerts in your file.

Welcome to being in the military in Hawai'i....I was there for over 2 years, and stuff like that happens all the time. I don't know what they told you guys in orientation, but the natives don't like "Hali Boy" over there...be cautious. Before I got back from there I was in the fight of my life, had money stolen more than once...me and some of my friends even had a rental car stolen. Be aware of the FACT that because you are white and military that you will be the target of scams, robbery, and hatred. Many of the folks over there aren't happy that they are one of the 50 states...cuz they were basically conquered and occupied by the US before they actually became a state. Many native hold a vendetta over that still yet. And..many times they target the military personnel as targets of crime...sometimes violent crime. They find military men in the ditches over there quite frequently...so when ya go out, go with buddies. And don't be surprised if ya get in a scuffle or 20 before ya get back to the mainland.

Yeah, it does happen there all the time. Many of the people there still hold "true" to their tribal beliefs and to this day believe they are being occupied and not part of the U.S. They wanted their independence from the U.S. just the way that the Philipines wanted theirs and got.

Yep..if ya pay close attention to the news, the natives take over the old palace on average of once a year and challenge federal authority...which they have a point to a degree, but no more of a point than any other people native to the land that is any of the other current states.
